Our volunteers and board of directors have been busy since last fall, keeping trails clear of fallen trees and branches. We also worked with a group from the California Conservation Corps to burn small piles that were stacked last year but not burned prior to the end of the burn season.
Now it’s just about time for our spring hikes and events to start. Bring family and friends and explore parts of the preserve with us while learning about plants, fish, rocks, birds, aquatic insects, gold rush history, and more. These hikes provide a great opportunity to come out with a group and get acquainted with the trails at the preserve.
If you enjoy the preserve and our events and/or appreciate the work we do, please consider volunteering with us, visiting a board meeting, or making a tax-deductible donation to Horsetown-Clear Creek Preserve. You can donate from our website via PayPal and Thrivent Choice; or mail a check to our P.O. Box as shown below. Your generous donations of time and money are the strength behind our advocacy. Our primary support comes from individual contributions.
